Global Management of Chemical Substances in Products

International chemical substance laws and regulations, such as Europe's RoHS Directive and REACH Regulation and the U.S.'s TSCA, as well as various industry standards such as IEC 62474 and the Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (GADSL) and individual customer standards grow stricter every year, while demands for management of chemical substances in products continue to increase.
Under the leadership of the chemical substances in products management department, Toyo Tanso collects and organizes the latest information on relevant laws and regulations, industry standards, and customer standards in addition to establishing management standards regarding its the chemical substances in products. Such information and standards are reflected in Toyo Tanso's Green Procurement Guidelines, including in the management list for chemical substances used in Toyo Tanso products, and the company has established a management system for controlling the chemical substances in products, which has been integrated into the in-house quality control system.
