As environmental and social problems that threaten the sustainability of our world and local societies are becoming increasingly severe over recent years, the primary role of the Sustainable Consumption and Production Group is to contribute to the creation of a sustainable society. To achieve this, we formulate targets and plans for vitalizing energy conservation and energy production activities aimed at reducing emissions of CO₂ and other greenhouse gasses generated by production activities, and for reducing industrial waste and other resource conservation activities. We promote these plans across the entire company to ensure we actively work together to achieve our targets and resolve issues.
In order to link initiatives in carbon material production to the continual creation of corporate value, each of our employees is aware of and actively engaged in activities for energy conservation, energy production, and resource conservation.
