Toyo Tanso Co., Ltd. participated in the METI Minister's Award Ceremony of the Ninth Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Awards held at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo on January 23, 2023.
A member of the development team of our product, "CNovel®" porous carbon, received the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, and was presented with a certificate of commendation by Minister Nishimura of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Outline of the Award
CNovel® has nearly doubled the catalyst life of fuel cells, while also contributing to system cost reductions. As an implementation-level material in next-generation batteries such as all-phase batteries and air batteries, it is expected to contribute to solving issues such as decarbonization.

■What is the Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award?
The Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award are presented to individuals who are recognized as particularly outstanding among the various generations of human resources involved in manufacturing, including mid-career workers who play a central role in manufacturing and production, skilled workers who have supported traditional and cultural skills, and young workers who will lead the future. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology have collaborated to hold this award since 2005, and this is the ninth time it has been held.
