 Toyo Tanso Co., Ltd (Chairman, President and CEO: Naotaka Kondo, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has decided to make a capital investment to increase the production capacity of TaC (tantalum carbide) coated graphite products in order to meet the demand of the SiC semiconductor market.

【Investment background and overview】
 As our TaC-coated graphite products have superior heat resistance compared to SiC (silicon carbide)-coated graphite products, they are used in the epitaxial process of SiC wafers, etc., which are used at higher temperatures, and demand is increasing in line with market growth.The company currently have manufacturing facilites for TaC-coated graphite products in the Ohnohara Production Technology Center in Japan, and this investment will increase the processing capacity to approximately double the current level.
